MAISON LA TROPEZIENNE from the 19th century was originally the bakery for the people of Antibes who did not have an oven themselves, it was converted into a residence in the mid 20th century. The house was completely renovated by us in 2022 with the aim of preserving the original character in a modern form and at the same time creating maximum comfort. Throughout the house we have considered for best materials and equipment - e.g. floors have been widely tiled with travertine in Roman layout and with a special filling procedure. We use the house this coup de coeur house ourselves with our family and friends and - when we are not there - we are happy if other guests can enjoy it as well! MAISON LA TROPEZIENNE has an extraordinarily spacious floor layout - an absolute rarity for the old town of Antibes, just as rare as the large roof terrace with outdoor kitchen. Also rare is the large basement, part of which is also accessible to our guests to store suitcases, sports equipment and the like. In the basement we also have a wagon that makes it easy to transport luggage to and from the multi-storey car park.

SECURITY NOTICE: For design reasons, we have not installed railings in some places on the stairs. However, this is only in areas that are completely uncritical for adults and children under normal circumstances, these are the lower six steps on the ground floor and the four lower steps on the first floor - we have installed railings on all the steps above them. We are also happy to welcome guests with small children or infants, but we would like to expressly inform you about a possible risk at this point, together with the information that we reject any liability.

MAISON LA TROPEZIENNE is located right in the center of the old town of Antibes. There are countless bars, shops and bakers in the immediate vicinity, you enter the Place Nationale 75 meters away, it is 200 meters to the Marché Provencal, 300 meters to the Picasso Museum and 500 meters to the nearest sandy beach.

Old Antibes is a little hidden gem located between Nice and Cannes and is unique in that it offers everything for everyone: easy access to neighboring towns (the train station has trains to different towns every 5 minutes), boutiques and shops, restaurants and bars (day and night), art boutiques and museums (Picasso Museum), beach (the nearest, la Plage de la Gravette, is 7 minutes walk and is sandy - both private and more public sandy beaches are in 10-12 minutes walking distance), great nature (the hike around Cap d'Antibes is highly recommended), Europe's largest marina and and and...

Transport

• TRAIN - the SNCF train station is a 15 minute walk and travels to any town along the coast from Aix-en-Provence to Monaco, Eze, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Nice, Cannes and more.
• BUS - whether to the airport (bus 250 takes you to Antibes) or inland (Vence, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Biot, Grasse....), the buses run regularly.
• CAR - there are several parking lots. The nearest public car park is a 4 minute walk away and offers weekly discounts for less than 10 euros a day. The nearest free car park is a 20-minute walk away. PLEASE NOTE that the house is in the pedestrian zone of the old town and not accessible by car.

We recommend you to park the car in one of the modern parking garages (forfait 1 semaine / congress ticket for 1 week: 66 €, for 2 weeks 110 €) and walk to the property. If you have a lot of luggage we have a cruiser for you in MAISON LA TROPEZIENNE that is good for 60 kg / 130 lbs. of weight and rolling very smoothly.
